Bunchy
Bunchy is a concept app and website designed to tackle loneliness among university students and young adults in new cities. The goal was to create a low-pressure, friendly platform for making meaningful connections through shared interests and casual meetups.
I led the creative direction for the project, developing the full brand identity, app and website design, and campaign visuals. I came up with the name, designed the logo, created the colour palette and type system, and built the overall visual style. I also drew a set of custom illustrations to give the app a warm, approachable feel, focusing on casual hangouts rather than party culture to better reflect the tone of Bunchy.

Behind the Design
For the app, I planned and designed nearly all screens, including profiles, event listings, tagging and filtering systems, and safety features. The flow was designed to feel intuitive and flexible, encouraging users to explore and connect at their own pace.
Additional features included QR code invites, profile previews, and categories based on interests. I also edited background videos and created Lottie loading animations to bring the app to life. The prototype was fully clickable, with help from Oliver on wiring interactions and transitions.
On the website side, I designed a full 7-page site in Adobe XD, with a clear structure and a focus on guiding new users. The pages included: Home, Our Approach, Features, How It Works, Testimonials, Contact, and a Download page. I took inspiration from the Focus Keeper app for its clean design and from Hinge for its personal tone and real-life scenarios.
The result is a modern, engaging site that clearly communicates what the app offers, while keeping the tone light, friendly, and consistent with the brand. This project brought together branding, UX, web, motion, and illustration in a way that felt natural and exciting. It pushed my skills and reminded me why I love designing thoughtful, human-centred products.
